MALAYA Communist Banknote  - $1 Note dated 1957

These notes were issued by a branch of the Malayan Communist Party (MCP) in Johore. 

The inscription is in Chinese characters “Yi Yuan” (One Dollar), “Liu Tong Juan” (Circulation Note) on left and right. 

The bottom 2 lines read 

      a. “Ma-la-ya Gong Chau Dang Ruu Bei Di Wei Hui Fa” (Malaya – Northern Johor Communist     

            Committee Party). 

      b. “Chi Zhou” (Treasurer) “Ma Li Ming”

Note : This extremely RARE note was sold in  "Eur – Seree Collection Auction", Bangkok, Thailand on 5^th August 2012, Lot No:492, for THB140,000 = RM14,000=US$4000
